Snaps - Chantilly Light Salmon

Chantilly Light Salmon is my favourite of the Chantilly range, the colour combo on each spike is a very beautiful peach on the lower flowers and a soft pink on the upper florets.  Glorious and very delicate for a snapdragon and romantic addition to a posy.

The snaps need a bit of protection for overwintering, hardy down to -5 but they do flower earlier with a touch of protection.  I put some in the big tunnel and some outside under low tunnels made from environmesh, this creates a bit of a succession too allowing for a longer, staggered cutting stage.

I do not recommend pinching the Chantilly snaps - they bloom shorter than other varieties.
